SCHREIBER, ON –On January 17, 2011 Schreiber Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) observed two snow machines travelling on Hwy 17, Town of Schreiber, at a high rate of speed. At approximately 8:10 p.m. officers located and stopped one of the suspect vehicles at Sunset Drive, Schreiber. Investigation revealed that the driver had consumed alcohol and was a suspended driver. The male driver, 42 year old Gerald GAGG of Terrace Bay, Ontario was arrested and charged with Operate a Motor Vehicle with Over 80 mg of Blood Alcohol Content and Failing to Comply with an Undertaking from a previous charge, contrary to the Criminal Code.
GAGG remains in custody and is to appear in Thunder Bay Court on January 19, 2011 to answer to the charges.
GAGG was further charged with offences contrary to the Motorized Snow Vehicle Act.
