POLICE EXECUTE SEARCH WARRANTS

GREENSTONE, ON – February 17, 2011 Drug Enforcement Unit officers assisted by members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Greenstone detachment executed Controlled Drug and Substances Act warrants simultaneously in the towns of Geraldton and Longlac.

While executing the warrant in Geraldton, a quantity of Marihuana, Hash, Prescription pills and a substantial amount of cash was seized.

While executing the warrant in Longlac, a quantity of Marihuana and cash was seized.

As a result of the investigations, two males and one female have been arrested.

48 year old Jean Marc GAGNON of Geraldton will have his next court appearance in Geraldton on March 31, 2011.  He is charged with the following CDSA offences:

  • Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking x 2
  • Possession of a Controlled Substance

46 year old Guy FORTIER of Longlac will have his next court appearance in Longlac on March 30, 2011.  He is charged with the following CDSA offence:

  • Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking

21 year old Heather FISHER of Longlac will have her next court appearance in Longlac on March 30, 2011.  She is charged with the following CDSA offence:

  • Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking

The Combined Forces Organized Crime Unit consists of members from The Thunder Bay Police Service, The O.P.P. Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau, The R.C.M.P., The Nishnawbe-Aski Police Service and The Anishinabek Police Service.
