Graffiti Leads to Charges In Marathon

CHARGES LAID FOR MISCHIEF

MARATHON, ON. –  While on general patrol on Friday March 11, 2011 around 12:15am Marathon Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) located some freshly painted graffiti at the rear of the Marathon Dental Clinic on Peninsula Road. The officer located a group of people in the area and upon further investigation established that one of group was responsible for the graffiti. Also graffiti was located on the rear wall of the Marathon Recreation Complex as well as a delivery truck located in the rear parking lot of the D & H Foods store.

Joey O’CONNOR age 25 of Marathon, was arrested and charged for 3 counts of Mischief Under $5000. O’CONNOR was transported to the Marathon OPP Detachment and later released from custody and to appear in Marathon Criminal Court on May 5, 2011 on these matters.
