MANITOUWADGE, ON – Manitouwadge Curling Club Ladies Representative Shawna Patterson is looking forward to a first she has organized for the club this weekend (Saturday, March 5), a Glow-In-The-Dark-Bonspeil.
How will curlers manage when the lights go out you may wonder; well, Patterson has purchased red and yellow glow sticks to adorn each of the rocks and the broom of each Skip; there will also be two small spot lights at the far end of the ice to ensure there is some visibility. I thought it would be something fun to do. The four-end funspeil will be played round-robin style “I think it will be fun, it’s something new for Manitouwadge” said Patterson.
