New Releases March 1 : CROSSOVER INSIDER

The Academy Awards have come and gone and I must say I did quite well with my predictions! Keep reading for a complete summary of the contenders, my picks, and the actual winners. For now, let’s have a look at what new movies will be available at Crossover tomorrow;

Burlesque: starring Cher and Christina Aguilera- A small-town girl ventures to Los Angeles and finds her place in a neo-burlesque club run by a former dancer. (DVD and Blu-Ray)

Faster: starring The Rock- An ex-con sets out to avenge his brother’s death after they were double-crossed during a heist years ago. During his campaign he’s tracked by a veteran cop and an egocentric hit man. (DVD and Blu-Ray)

Love and Other Drugs: starring Jake Gyllenhaal and Anne Hathaway- An alluring free spirit won’t let anyone or anything tie her down until she meets her match in Jamie, whose relentless charm serves him well with the ladies and in the cutthroat world of pharmaceutical sales. (DVD and Blu-Ray)

SWAT Firefight: starring Robert Patrick- Los Angeles S.W.A.T. officer, Lt. Paul Cutler is sent to train the Detroit S.W.A.T. team on new anti-terrorism and homeland security techniques. Cutler has a hard time settling into his assignment as he locks horns with his new captain and encounters resistance from the team he must lead. (DVD and Blu-Ray)

Scooby Doo and the Curse of the Lake Monster: Scooby and the crew set out to solve another mystery. (Full Length Movie) (DVD only)

127 Hours: starring James Franco- TRUE STORY: A mountain climber becomes trapped under a boulder while canyoneering alone and resorts to desperate measures in order to survive. (DVD and Blu-Ray)

Alamar:  Before their inevitable farewell, a young man of Mayan roots and Natan, his half Italian son, embark on an epic journey into the open sea. (Foreign) (DVD only)

Anneliese: Exorcist Tapes- The videos and chronicles of a young girl who is possessed and requires an exorcism. (DVD only)

Beautiful Life: starring Bai Ling- Escaping her abusive past, a woman stays the night with an illegal immigrant friend of a friend. The two get closer and fall in love, but face turmoil. (DVD only)

My Girlfriends Boyfriend: starring Alyssa Milano- Jesse meets Ethan, someone she could finally fall in love with, but then she meets Troy, and now she has a dilemma. (DVD only)

Short Track- The daily life experiences of Blake Beckett, a five-time stockcar racing short track champion (DVD only)

For the Gamers:

Fight Night Round 4: The fourth edition of the extremely popular Fight Night series allows the player to fight as their favourite boxer or create your own legend!

4 out of 5 ain’t bad! That is the result of my Academy Award predictions in last week’s Crossover Insider. My only mistake was in the best picture category where “The Kings Speech” bested “Social Network” to take the prize.  Below is a summary of my picks and the actual winners.
