MANITOUWADGE, ON – Saturday, April 16 the Our Lady of Lourdes Parish Catholic Women’s League hosted a spaghetti supper in the church basement.  Having learned from the last spaghetti supper which sold out, the ladies were well prepared for a full house, making more spaghetti; meat, spicy, vegatarian and ‘the works’ sauces, more salad and kept a re-arranged layout of the tables which had been recently done and allowed for more seating and a more intimate, restaurant-style ambiance.

The luggage set up for grabs drew plenty of attention.

It was not long before the 150 tickets were sold out though hungry families continued arriving to dine. At last count the best estimate was that more than 170 people had feasted on the variety of spaghetti styles.

As part of their fundraising efforts, a beautiful luggage set was drawn with tickets being a silver donation.  The set was won by Jillian Hamilton, an OLOL student volunteering at the event who will no doubt put the gear to good use during her end-of-year school trip.

Volunteers at the supper worked diligently providing restaurant quality service.
