MARATHON ON –On Saturday April 30, 2011, at 3:15am, Marathon Ontario Provincial Police officers were dispatched regarding possible persons drinking inside a motor vehicle in the town of Marathon.
The officers located the vehicle driving on Hemlo Drive and conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle. Upon speaking with the driver it was determined that he was impaired by alcohol.
Michael F. RAYASI a 21 year old male, of Marathon, Ontario was arrested and charged with “Operate a Motor Vehicle with over 80mg of Alcohol in 100ml of Blood”. The accused was released from custody and is to appear in Marathon Court on June 9, 2011 on these matters.
The public is encouraged to call 911 or contact police at 1-800-310-1122 whenever suspecting that a driver is impaired while operating a motor vehicle whether it is a Car, Truck, Motorcycle, ATV, Snowmobile, Boat or even an Airplane.
