MARATHON, ON –   The Marathon Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is currently investigating the disappearance of a male who was involved in a personal injury motor vehicle collision on Highway # 17 east of the Steele River June 20, 2011.

Ibrahim Lugoloobie SENDAGIRE, a 23-year-old male from Edmonton, Alberta, ran into a heavily wooded bush area after striking and injuring a construction worker on Highway # 17. SENDAGIRE was subsequently reported to police as missing June 26, 2011.

SENDAGIRE is described as a male approximately 6 feet tall, black, heavy-set with dark hair, wearing a dark blue shirt and bluejeans.

A ground search is currently underway with the assistance of members of the North West Region Emergency Response Team, one OPP K9 Unit and one Nishnawbe Aski Police Service K9 Unit. A helicopter aerial search is also set to begin later this date.
