SAULT STE. MARIE, ON  – From May 13 through May 15, Studio Dance Arts competed in Detroit Michigan at the “Hall of Fame Dance Challenge” with more than 14 competing studios and in excess of 500 entries. Studio Dance Arts received several high honours throughout the weekend long competition.

Studio Dance Arts entered 53 routines in the solo and group categories that were judged by a panel of 3 adjudicators. In total, SDA received 12 High Gold awards (scored between 92.6 and 94.9) and 41 Platinum awards (scored 95+). In addition, the panel of judges awards an MVP to a routine that they feel should be posted on the Hall of Fame website based on technique, performance and entertainment value. This year, Studio Dance Arts received this special MVP honour with the group routine, ‘Bolero’.

The dancer with the highest average score from two solo routines receives the highest honour of being inducted into the Hall of Fame and their performance is posted as the top soloist of that city. This year, Sara Hinding received this special honour in two routines, ‘Rose Adagio’ (pointe solo) and ‘You Don’t’ (lyrical solo).
