Evacuees No Longer Expected In Manitouwadge
MANITOUWADGE, ON – Please be advised that the Township of Manitouwadge has received an email from Emergency Management Ontario thanking us for our support in volunteering to be a host community. The Ministry of Natural Resources does not anticipate any further evacuations unless the weather situation changes and at that time a reassessment will be made.
We will no longer be on standby when all measures which have been put into place are removed. We will remain in a State of Emergency in case the weather changes and we are asked to assist.
The Corporation of the Township of Manitouwadge would like to thank all of the individuals and businesses who have assisted us in preparing to receive evacuees.
