MONDAY MORNING DRIVER IMPAIRED

NIPIGON, ON – August 9, 2011 at approximately 9:15 a.m. a Marathon Ontario Provincial Police Officer (OPP) travelling west on Hwy 17, west of Schreiber, Ontario, observed a pickup truck driving in an unsafe manner.  The officer followed the west bound vehicle to a residence in the Township of Killraine, west of Schreiber.

The officer spoke to the driver of the vehicle who had been drinking.  The 31 year old driver, David NOBLE, of Terrace Bay, Ontario has been charged with Impaired Operation, Operate a Motor Vehicle with Over 80 milligrams of Blood Alcohol Content, and Assault with Intent to Resist Arrest, contrary to the Criminal Code.

The male is to appear in Schreiber Court on November 16, 2011 to answer to these charges.
