HORNEPAYNE, ON – Thursday September 8th, 2011 the Superior East OPP in Hornepayne along with OPP Canine Unit, Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau, Provincial Weapons Enforcement Unit Sudbury, Emergency Response Unit and the Drug Enforcement Unit Sault Ste Marie executed a search warrant under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act. The warrant was executed at a property on Second Government Lake in Lessard Township. As a result 56-year-old William HOGG and 20-year-old William Kyle HOGG both of Hornepayne were arrested and charged with the following;
1) Production of a Marihuana contrary to the Controlled Drug and Substance Act
2) Possession of Marihuana over 30 grams contrary to the Controlled Drug and Substance Act
3) Breach of Firearms Regulation – 2 counts
4) Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm – 2 counts
Both accused were released with a court date of November 3rd, in Hornepayne.
