MANITOUWADGE, ON – Our Lady of Lourdes students had a very important lesson today as they learned and reviewed precautions and procedures related to School Bus Safety. Junior and Senior Kindergarten students were the first to follow their teacher to the front entrance of the school, outside the bus was parked and waiting for them. When the kindergarten students’ instruction was complete, the Grade 1’s, 2’s and so on would each have their turn until all students had the opportunity to participate. Their instruction included a grab bag with printed bus safety paraphenilia to look over at home as well as practicing how the rear emergency exit is used, disembarking and how to procede once having done so. Teaching the kids about it all were there classroom teacher, bus driver Donna Jaunzarins and an Ontario Provincial Police officer from the local detachment.
