Holy Angels Runners Represent Accross Region

St. Hilary’s 22nd Annual Cross Country Run – RED ROCK

RED ROCK, ON – October 11, the Holy Angels Running Team from Schreiber, Ontario participated in the St. Hilary’s 22^nd Annual Cross Country Run in Red Rock. After weeks of training, 15 students from Grade 2 to 6 made the trip to Red Rock to run the 2.8km course. This year our team was made up of 8 Junior Boys (11 & under) and 7 Junior Girls.

Holy Angels FIRST in Junior Boys division:

Jack McMillan ran his way into 1^st place coming in at a time of 12.01.
Dallan Commisso wasn’t far behind and he came in third with a time of 12.54.

Both boys greatly improved their times from last year!

Connor Gionet was not far behind and he finished 4^th.

There were a total of 52 boys. Also beating their previous times were C.J. Figliomeni (7^th), Cosimo Figliomeni (12^th), Thomas Anderson (25^th). New this year, Girolamo Figliomeni and Nicholas Figliomeni finished in 27^th & 28^th place respectively. With our 8 Junior Boys combined times, Holy Angels placed first in the Junior Boys Division out of 9 schools and they took home the trophy for the second year in a row.

Junior Girls Division:

Julianna Kabatay blew away her previous time and finished 3^rd out of 59 girls with a time of 13.03. She was also awarded the Gavin Boudreau Award for dedication and commitment to running.
Diana Figliomeni finished in 5^th place,
Kirsten Andrews in 20^th place (her first year),
Lexi Armstrong in 37^th place, Michaila Kinney in 39^th place,
Alyson Chasse in 40^th place
Dabney Bouchard in 53^rd place (her first year).

All the girls and boys did an amazing job and worked towards their goal of improving their time from last year. CONGRATULATIONS!

Lakehead Mid-Canada Elementary Run – THUNDER BAY

THUNDER BAY, ON – October 22, Jack McMillan participated in the Lakehead Mid-Canada Elementary Run in Thunder Bay and ran 3km with a time of 12.28. He came in 35^th place out of 146 runners. Way to go Jack!
