IMPAIRED DRIVER CHARGED
NIPIGON, ON –During the weekend of November 11 to November 13, 2011 Nipigon and Schreiber Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to numerous calls for service and issued 28 Provincial Offence Notices. Officers investigated one motor vehicle collision and conducted 4 R.I.D.E. checks.
Saturday November 12, 2011 at approximately 1:30 a.m. Schreiber OPP observed the driver of a motor vehicle driving in an unsafe manner. The officer conducted a traffic stop and found that the driver had been drinking. The driver was arrested for impaired driving and returned to the Nipigon OPP detachment.
The 27 year old male driver, Stuart Ryan VAUGHAN, of Terrace Bay, Ontario has been charged with Impaired Driving and Operate a Motor Vehicle with Over 80 milligrams of Blood Alcohol Content contrary to the Criminal Code. He is to appear in Schreiber Court on March 2, 2012 to answer to these charges.
