The Northeast Superior Forest Community (NSFC) is a partnership of 6 municipalities and 6 First Nation communities with common goals and objectives under the banner of Natural Resources Canada’s Forest Communities Program.  This group is driven at the political level through the Northeast Superior Mayors’ Group (NESMG) which has been working as a collective over the past seven years and by the Northeast Superior Regional Chiefs’ Forum (NSRCF).  The goal of our organization was to spur a grass roots approach to facing issues in partnership rather than as individual communities.

The NSFC’s partner municipalities are Hornepayne, Manitouwadge, Chapleau, Wawa, Dubreuilville, and White River also represented by the Northeast Regional Mayors’ Group and the First Nation communities of Chapleau Cree, Brunswick House, Michipicoten, Missanabie Cree, Pic Mobert, and Hornepayne First Nations, represented by the Northeast Superior Regional Chiefs’ Forum. (link below)
