Terrace Bay Wins Tourism Awards
Terrace Bay Municipal Staff and Outgoing NOSTA President Iain Angus
TERRACE BAY, ON – November 9th the Township of Terrace bay was recognized with two awards at the North of Superior Tourism Association’s Annual General Meeting. The awards ceremony, held as part of the annual meeting, showcased some of the successes in the region’s tourism industry.
The Municipality won awards for excellence in Municipal Marketing and as a Tourism Innovator for the use of the Terrace Bay Lighthouse within the Downtown Revitalization Project. CAO Carmelo Notarbartolo said “We are very honoured to have won these two awards and are grateful for the recognition by our peers. It really acknowledges all the hard work our staff has done in Terrace Bay.” The Terrace Bay Dragfest had been nominated by the Municipality in the incredibly competitive Tourist Event category and was a runner-up for the award.
