WHITE RIVER, ON – During 2011 the Superior East Ontario Provincial Police Detachment in White River initiated the “Positive Reinforcement Program” in partnership with A&W Restaurant and Home Hardware in White River. The program involved officers identifying young persons in the community riding their bicycles in accordance with the rules of the road as well as wearing proper safety equipment. Officers would hand out coupons to the youths for a prize draw.
