Photo OntarioNewsNorth.comMANITOUWADGE, ON - Saturday, November 12th it was a full house at the Manitouwadge Community Centre Auditorium for the town's 2nd Murder Mystery Dinner Theatre "Dead to the Last Drop". The performances are organized by Community Services Programmer Shawna Patterson and have quickly become a favourite evening among locals. Word of the fun has spread accross the Northshore to Terrace Bay where Special Projects Coordinator Sean Irwin recently began discussions with Patterson regarding the possibility of Manitouwadge's team of thesbians travelling to perform a similar evening there as a fundraiser.The cast, entirely comprised of energetic, well costumed, local volunteers, had their improvisational skills tested on a few occasions throughout the performance when, as so often happens with live theatre, unexpected occurences from the set or complex monologues could've possibly thrown lesser actors off their game. The audience was completely engaged and very much at odds with each other and taking sides with their favourite characters at the end of the show when the tables were turned and undercover policeman Robert Ludzeski, played by Ed Hedderson (Kiwissa Ski Club President) realized that he and the others on stage were 'being watched' by a room full of spectators who could now assist in solving the 'who done it?" mystery!There were no shortage of hypothesis in regards to who the murderer was, many audience members asking questions regarding past relationships of those on stage and there exact whereabouts at the time of the murder. Finally, Special Agent Ludzeski asked for a show of hands, the murderer being determined by majority vote as a great evening came to an end the only question that seemed to remain on the minds of attendees was "When would the next Murder Mystery Dinner Theatre be taking place?".Barbara Patterson as Dr. Bill Kildare.
