RED ROCK, ON – The Welcoming Committee for the Township of Red Rock challenged the community to participate in a “House Numbering” challenge. The project was to encourage all residents in Red Rock to have their house numbered and visible.

A survey of the town was taken in the spring of 2011, and it was determined that there were 53 houses did not have house numbers and 43 that were not clearly visible. The Welcoming Committee was pleased to see that 21 houses in Red Rock participated in the challenge and now has their house numbers on their homes.

All the participants’ house numbers who qualified were eligible for the prizes. There were two prizes were given to each the winning houses. One prize was sponsored by Superior North EMS and the other the Red Rock Volunteer Fire Brigade. Thank you to Superior North EMS, Red Rock Volunteer Fire Brigade and the Red Rock Welcoming Committee for donating the prizes and encouraging the residents of Red Rock to keep their house numbers visible.
