Trafficking Charges, B&E’s and Crime Solved in Greenstone

MORE DRUG TRAFFICKING CHARGES LAID

Longlac, ON – As a result of an ongoing investigation by the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Greenstone Detachment, on November 29, 2011, Ryan MOFFATT, 35, of Longlac was arrested and charged with 7 counts of Trafficking a controlled substance, Possession of property obtained by crime, and Breach of probation.

He was remanded into custody and later released to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Longlac on January 25, 2012.

BREAK AND ENTER SOLVED IN CARAMAT

Caramat, ON – December 5, 2011 the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Greenstone Detachment received a call about a break and enter on Aspen Crescent, Caramat.   Electronics, money and DVD’s were stolen from the residence.

The investigation lead members of the Greenstone OPP to charge 3 females with break/enter and commit an indictable offence. The accused cannot be named as per the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

They have been released to appear in the Ontario Youth Court of Justice, Longlac.

SEARCH WARRANT IN LONG LAKE 58 LEADS TO CHARGES

Longlac, ON –  November 21, 2011, a search warrant was executed by the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Greenstone Detachment at a residence inLongLake 58.

Albert FORTIER, 63, of Thunder Bay,Ontario is charged with four counts of Trafficking a controlled substance.  He was released the following morning on a Recognizance to attend court on December 7 in Longlac.
