It’s the last week of January for new releases and it could possibly be the best week of the month! There are eleven titles in total with a lot of big names and a variety of genres to suit all tastes! From a haunted house to a trio of bird watchers to a Hollywood stunt driver, this week really has it all! Let’s have a look at each title in more detail;

NEW RELEASES ON DVD & BLU-RAY

Drive: starring Ryan Gosling, Bryan Cranston and Albert Brooks– A Hollywood stuntman and getaway driver finds himself in trouble after a heist goes bad. (Action) (DVD and Blu-Ray)

Dream House: starring Daniel Craig, Rachel Weisz and Naomi Watts- Soon after moving into their new home, a family learns of a brutal crime committed against the former residents, and discover that their spirits may still be lingering (Horror) (DVD and Blu-Ray)

The Big Year: starring Owen Wilson, Steve Martin and Jack Black– Three men from very different backgrounds compete in a bird watching competition to see who can find the rarest birds in North America. (Comedy) (DVD)

In Time: starring Justin Timberlake and Amanda Seyfried– In the not too distant future, a man fights to find immortal youth in a world where people stop aging at 25 and die at 26. (Sci-Fi) (DVD and Blu-Ray)

The Thing: starring Joel Edgerton– The discovery of an alien craft at an Antarctica research site leads a team of scientists to turn on one another as they fight to survive “the thing” that is terrorizing them. (Horror) (DVD and Blu-Ray)

Treasure Buddies– The Buddies are back in an all new adventure that finds them in the deserts of Egypt where they race against a cat to find hidden treasures. (Kids) (DVD)

The Double: starring Richard Gere, Topher Grace and Martin Sheen– A retired CIA operative is paired with a young FBI agent to unravel the mystery of a senator’s murder, with all signs pointing to a Soviet assassin. (Action/Thriller) (DVD and Blu-Ray)

Afghan Luke: starring Nick Stahl– After his story about the mistreatment of Afghan civilians is buried, a journalist returns to Afghanistan to find more evidence. (Drama) (DVD and Blu-Ray)

Breakaway: An ethnic Canadian hockey player struggles against traditional family values and discrimination from mainstream hockey players. (Drama/Comedy) (DVD)

Cell 211: The story of two men on different sides of a prison riot — the inmate leading the rebellion and the young guard trapped in the revolt, who poses as a prisoner in a desperate attempt to survive. (Subtitled) (Drama) (DVD)

Uninhabited: A young couple go to a remote island for a camping holiday, only to find that the island is inhabited by a ghost seeking revenge. (Horror) (DVD)

FOR THE GAMERS

Final Fantasy XIII-2: A Direct sequel to Final Fantasy 13 and takes place three years later when Lightning has gone missing, and Snow is nowhere to be found. Serah and a mysterious man named Noel, set off on a quest to find Lightning. (Available for PS3 and 360)

Soul Calibur V: In 17th Century Europe, Warriors embark on journeys to find the legendary Soul Swords. In this version of the franchise, the battle movements have been tuned to allow players to pull off dynamic attacks while admiring the eye-popping graphics. (Available for PS3 and 360)

Neverdead:  A demon hunter, was cursed with immortality five-hundred years ago by the demon king after his wife was murdered during a battle with the demon. Now in modern times, he hunts demons for money and revenge with the help of a female private detective. (Available for PS3 and 360)
