Christmas Gift Sale at St. Martin School
TERRACE BAY, ON – Friday, December 16th St. Martin School Council was so happy to provide students with a chance to buy their very own Christmas gifts for family and/or friends. Over a two week period the school collected items from parents and family members. We are very fortunate to have so many generous families at St. Martin School; there were a variety of new or very ‘gently’ used items collected that were organized into displays suitable for women (mothers/grandmothers/aunts), men (fathers/grandfathers/uncles), and children (babies/toddlers/boys/girls).
Student’s were then invited to the gym to purchase sale tickets for a toonie each. Each gift at the ‘store’ could be purchased with one ticket and students used these tickets to shop for gifts for their family and friends. Once gifts were purchased students took their purchases to the wrapping station where they were able to decorate and address each gift to be placed under their Christmas tree.
It was so wonderful to see the students leave with smiles on their faces and beautifully wrapped packages of gifts that they were able to personally select and buy for their loved ones.
