This week marks the arrival of 2 highly anticipated games – UFC Undisputed 3 and Twisted Metal. For the movie lovers, 6 new titles make their debut with two of them being romantic comedies – just in time for Valentine’s Day! Let’s have a look at each title in more detail;

NEW RELEASES ON DVD & BLU-RAY

The Rum Diary: starring Johnny Depp– A journalist takes on a job for a newspaper in Puerto Rico during the 1950s and struggles to find a balance between island culture and the people who live there. (Comedy) (DVD and Blu-Ray)

Accidental Husband: starring Uma Thurman, Colin Firth and Jeffrey Dean Morgan– When a talk radio host advises one of her listeners to break up with her boyfriend, the ex sets out to get his revenge. (Comedy/Romance) (DVD)

The Dead: The sole survivor of a plane crash in Africa awakens to discover that he is a land where the dead have come back to life. (Horror) (DVD and Blu-Ray)

Hellraiser Revelations: Two friends discover a puzzle box which opens a gateway to Hell. Before long, Pinhead returns to make life miserable of everyone in his way. (Horror) (DVD)

Not Since You: starring Desmond Harrington- A group of college friends who graduated from NYU the year of 9/11 reunite years later for a weekend wedding in Georgia. (Romance/Drama) (DVD)

Take Shelter: starring Michael Shannon and Jessica Chastain– After having a series of bizarre apocalyptic dreams, a man sets out to build a tornado shelter to protect his family from a deadly storm that he believes is forthcoming. (Drama) (DVD)

UFC Undisputed 3: This game delivers intense UFC action focused on toe-to-toe combat, impressive visual presentation and a new addition- PRIDE Mode which features a brand new submission system with new ways to finish the fight. Choose from dozens of the top UFC and Pride fighters! Available for PS3 and 360.

Twisted Metal: The popular PS2 game makes its long anticipated arrival on PS3. The game stars Calypso, a mysterious madman who holds a yearly Twisted Metal tournament where drivers from all over the world are selected to battle in rigged-up vehicles until only 1 driver is left alive. Available only on PS3.

CARNIVAL GAMING DAY

We’re only a few days away from Family Day weekend which means 2 things- Winter Carnival and Free Gaming Day!

Crossover Video & Games and the Marathon Theatre are anxious to welcome gamers of all ages to our first of hopefully many free gaming days at the theatre! Join us on Saturday, February 18^th from Noon to 3pm at Marathon Theatre for a fun-filled afternoon of Wii games on the giant theatre screen! There will be also be random draws throughout the afternoon with the lucky winners receiving Chamber Bucks which can be redeemed at a number of businesses throughout Marathon. Hope to see you there!
