Nipigon – Schreiber OPP Weekend Review March 30 – April 1

SCHREIBER IMPAIRED DRIVER CHARGED

NIPIGON, ON –During the weekend of March 30 – April 1, 2012 Nipigon and Schreiber Ontario Provincial Police (OPP):

  • Responded to 29 calls for service;
  • Issued 48 Provincial Offence Notices;
  • Investigated 2 motor vehicle collisions;
  • Conducted 4 R.I.D.E. checks.

April 1 at approximately 2:10 a.m. Nipigon OPP stopped the driver of an Ebike onManitoba Street, Schreiber.  Officers found that the driver had been drinking.  The 50 year old male driver, Harry OLIVE of Schreiber, Ontario, was arrested and has been charged with Operate a Motor Vehicle with Over 80 milligrams of Blood Alcohol content contrary to the Criminal Code.  The male is to appear in Schreiber court on June 6, 2012 to answer to the charge.
