Falcons and Stingers set to defend titles.
WAWA, ON – The Marathon High School Falcons and Lake Superior High School Stingers are ready to defend their titles once again. The Stingers are chasing their 3rd consecutive while the Falcons are seeking their 7th or 8th. The Marathon squad is also the defending NWOSSAA Champions.
Once again Wawa is the site for this year’s championship playdown. The winner of the girl’s title will defend their crown on home turf, while the boys will travel west to NorWOSSA. The St. Thomas Aquinas Saints are undefeated in boys and girls action currently. Their league finals are also this week.
The schedule for the NSSSAA Championship is as follows:
Girls Schedule
Wednesday, May 16th
- 9:30 am Marathon vs Trillium
- 11:00-12:30 pm Ecole vs LSHS
LUNCH
- 1:30 -3:00 P.M. Ecole vs Trillium
- 3:00-4:30 P.M. LSHS vs Marathon
Thursday, May 17th
- 9 – 10:30am – Ecole vs Marathon
- 10:30 – Noon – LSHS vs Trillium
LUNCH
- 12:30-2pm Championship Game or earlier if no tie-breakers.
Boys Schedule
Wednesday- May 16th
- 9:30 – 11am – Manitouwadge vs Marathon
- 11am – 12:30- LSHS vs Ecole St. Joseph
LUNCH
- 1:30 – 3pm Manitouwadge vs Ecole St. Joseph
- 3 – 4:30 pm LSHS vs Marathon
Thursday, May 17th
- 9 – 10:30am Marathon vs Ecole St. Joseph
- 10:30am – Noon Manitouwadge vs Lake Superior
LUNCH
- 12:30- 2 pm Championship Game( Could start at 1:00 if no tie breaks)
