FATAL MOTOR VEHICLE COLLISION WEST OF NIPIGON

NIPIGON, ON – Members of the Nipigon Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), assisted by the Northwest Region Highway Safety Division are currently investigating a motor vehicle collision that occurred on Hwy 11/17 west of Nipigon on June 7, 2012 at approximately 11:15pm.

A westbound tractor trailer unit and an eastbound tractor trailer unit were involved in the collision.

Teriq AHMAD, a 42-year-old male from Maple, Ontario was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Traffic will be slowed to one lane until the investigation can be completed.
