NIPIGON, ON – Join organizers of the 11th Annual Blueberry Blast this coming weekend, August 3rd through 6th, for a fun filled weekend celebrating the annual tradition of blueberry picking, family entertainment and a plethora of events held at the Nipigon Marina and the Nipigon Legion.

Take advantage of the “Blueberry Bus” leaving at 9am every morning of the Blast. The bus will bring you to and from the local, hot picking spots. Bring your own pail for berries, a good hat, bug spray and sunscreen. There are prizes for the best pickers! Water is provided.

The entertainment begins Friday night with local musicians, and continues Saturday with blueberry picking, breakfast, crafts, baking and silent auction. On Sunday,enjoy more blueberry picking, several work shops, a supper and entertainment from noon ’til dusk! Monday wraps up the long weekend berry festival with a Teddy Bear Picnic, Petting Zoo and Fish Fry.
