TYLER’s THOUGHTS

The sun continues to pound down on much of Northwestern Ontario these days as we see temperatures that we thought were only possible down south. People are undoubtedly enjoying camping, fishing and other outdoor activities. After a long day out in the sun, what better way to cool down then with a movie and some popcorn! We’ve got you covered on both fronts.

This week we have ten new releases hitting the shelves. Below is each title with details;

NEW RELEASES ON DVD & BLU-RAY

Intruders: starring Clive Owen– Two children living in different countries are visited nightly by a faceless being who attempts to possess them. (Horror/Thriller) (DVD/Blu-Ray)

Street Dance 2: After losing to the “Invincible” crew, a street dancer looks to gather the best dancers from around the world for a rematch. (Drama) (DVD and Blu-Ray)

Meeting Evil: starring Samuel L. Jackson and Luke Wilson– A quiet and down on his luck man is taken on a murderous rampage by a mysterious stranger who shows up at his door. Now he must go to extreme lengths to protect his family. (Thriller) (DVD)

Salmon Fishing in the Yemen: starring Emily Blunt and Ewan McGregor– After being approached with an idea to introduce salmon fishing into the Yemen, a fisheries expert embarks on a journey of faith and love to prove the impossible possible. (Romance/Drama) (DVD and Blu-Ray)

Treasure Island: starring Eddie Izzard and Elijah Wood– A man and his crew set about to reach a reclusive island thought to harbor hidden treasures. Aboard the ship, a mysterious cook has ulterior motives that put the journey in jeopardy. (Adventure) (DVD)

Detachment: starring Adrien Brody, Bryan Cranston and James Caan– A talented but troubled teacher drifts from classroom to classroom to avoid developing attachments to the students and teachers. (Drama) (DVD and Blu-Ray)

Drew Peteron Untouchable: starring Rob Lowe-The troubling true story of a Police Sergeant whose third wife is found dead under suspicious circumstances and whose fourth wife disappears without a trace. (Crime/Drama) (DVD)

Hatfields and McCoy’s Bad Blood: starring Christian Slater– The true story of a violent and bloody feud between two families in Southern USA in the years following the Civil War. (Western) (DVD)

On the Insider: starring Nick Stahl- A troubled young man is sent to a psychiatric institution for the criminally insane and soon finds himself in a fight for his life against the ghosts inside his head and the dangerous enemies all around him. (Drama/Thriller) (DVD)

The Rainbow Tribe: At a summer sleep away camp, a group of children band together in an attempt to help their camp counselor overcome a personal crisis. (Family) (DVD)

Unfortunately the “dog days of Summer” do not provide much in terms of new games. This does not mean that you can’t plan ahead. This fall/winter is slated to be an epic time for gamers with a slew of titles that promise to be incredibly popular.
