We are only a couple weeks away from the highly anticipated release of The Hunger Games! This figures to be one of the biggest DVD and Blu-Ray releases of the year and you can be a part of the excitement by pre-ordering your copy of The Hunger Games today! Quantities are limited so don’t miss out!
I will be heading off on holidays this week and will be away all next week. Crossover Video and Games will be open regular hours during this time with our friendly staff still ready and willing to help you with all of your movie and gaming needs! What this does mean, however, is that there will be no Crossover Insider next week. Look for the Crossover Insider to return during the week of August 13th!
In the meantime, we have eight new releases making their DVD debut this week. Below is a brief synopsis of each title;
NEW RELEASES ON DVD & BLU-RAY
Hijacked: starring Randy Couture– A special agent learns that the private jet that his ex-fiancé is on board is hijacked by criminals working for the same crime lord that he is chasing. (Action) (DVD and Blu-Ray)
LOL: starring Miley Cyrus and Demi Moore– As a new school year begins, Lola is devastated to find out that her boyfriend had an encounter with another girl during summer break. This leads her best friend Kyle to reveal his true feelings for her. (Drama/Romance) (DVD)
Freddy Frogface- 10 year old Victor is thrilled to learn that the circus is coming to town and he will performing in the talent show. However, the town bully Freddy Frogface has a mischievous plot to try to spoil Victor’s plans. (Family/Kids/Animated) (DVD)
Detention: starring Josh Hutcherson and Dane Cook– A killer is on the loose at Grizzly High School and the principal decides to send all of the prime suspects to detention until the killer is revealed. (Horror/Comedy) (DVD)
4.3.2.1: starring Emma Roberts: 4 friends on completely different paths in life find their worlds on a collision course after a chance encounter with a group of diamond thieves. (Crime/Thriller) (DVD and Blu-Ray)
Hatfields and McCoys: The award winning TV miniseries about the epic decades long battle between 2 families in Southern USA. Starring Kevin Costner. (Western) (DVD)
I’m Yours: After meeting a woman at a bar, a man is lead on a mysterious road trip to Northern Ontario. (Drama/Romance) (DVD)
Servitude: After discovering that they are all about to be fired, a group of frustrated waiters at a steakhouse take over their restaurant for one final, glorious, revenge-filled night. (Comedy) (DVD)
FOR THE GAMERS
Risen 2 – Dark Waters: A nameless hero embarks on a mission to save his kingdom from repeated attacks from brutal sea monsters. This game allows the player to live the life of a pirate while making intricate choices throughout the adventure that will ultimately affect the outcome of the mission. Available for 360 and PS3.
Kingdom Hearts 3D – Sora and Riku attempt to unlock the 7 “sleeping keyholes” in an attempt to become a Keyblade master and rescue those from the Sleeping Worlds. Available for Nintendo 3DS.
