FEMALE DIES AS RESULT OF SINGLE VEHICLE ROLLOVER

Two Passengers Airlifted to Toronto in Serious Condition

BURK’S FALLS, ON –  Monday July 02, 2012 at 5:28 PM Alamaguin Highlands OPP responded to a single vehicle rollover on the southbound lanes of Highway 11 in Armour Township just south of Burk’s Falls, Ontario. Upon arrival at the scene it was determined that three females in their late teens and early twenties were in the vehicle. The vehicle rolled over causing one the females to be ejected from the vehicle. This female died at the scene of the collision. The two other females have been airlifted by air ambulance to Sunny Brook Hospital in Toronto. They are both in serious critical condition. The identity of these persons is not being released until the next of kin can be notified.

Highway 11 south bound lanes are closed while the investigation of the collision is being completed. There is a detour routing traffic around the collision scene.

The investigation is being conducted by members of the Alamaguin Highlands OPP and assistance with the assistance of the OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigation Unit.
