MANITOUWADGE, ON – Township of Manitouwadge Fire Chief Owen Cranney was pleased to announce the instalment yesterday of a beautiful new Forest Fire Hazard Level sign above the fire department (attached to municipal office building) replacing the previous sign which, after 14 years, was due for replacement.

The new sign is a gift to the town from the Manitouwadge Volunteer Firefighters Association who had it painted by local artist, Pauline Toy. The rating is adjusted daily by Fire Chief Owen Cranney to reflect the rating he receives via email from the Ministry of Natural Resources.
