NIPIGON, ON – 24 July 2012, in the early afternoon hours a traffic stop was completed by a member of the Nipigon Detachment Ontario Provincial Police on Highway 17 near Nipigon. The traffic stop resulted in the seizure of approximately 3,000 (three thousand) grams of cocaine.
Two males from the Toronto area, aged 31 and 34, are currently held in custody pending an investigation.
The seizure of cocaine has a potential street value of $300,000 (three hundred thousand dollars).
