Manitouwadge MEDC Board Member Speaks Regarding Nuclear Waste Management Organization Tour
MANITOUWADGE, ON – Recently OntarioNewsNorth.com spoke with business owner Jim Moffat, Manitouwadge Economic Development Corporation Board Member and one of the 9 delegates who participated in a Southern Ontario tour, including among its stops the Darlington Nuclear Generating Station (Darlington, ON) and the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission’s offices (Ottawa, ON) sponsored by the Nuclear Waste Management Organization (NWMO). Moffat shared details of the trip and his thoughts on the potential for his community to become a host for a deep geological repository which would hold used nuclear fuel.
