MANITOUWADGE, ON – Tuesday, September 4th teachers and staff at Manitouwadge Public School were excited to welcome back students for a new year of learning, adventures and fun. It was an eventful week with new students beginning their educational adventure and past students now enterring the next level in their elementary journey.

Principal Patricia Moonilal was excited to welcome students and teachers to the new school year “I take this opportunity to extend a warm welcome to new and returning staff and students at Manitouwadge Public School for the 2012-2013 school year. I hope everyone had an enjoyable and restful summer break and are ready to return to school to participate in the exciting growth opportunities that await you.” said Moonilal adding that “Our focus this year will be on numeracy and literacy throughout the school, and self regulation in the kindergarten class. It is also important that we instill the values and character attributes necessary for good citizenship. We look forward to working with parents, guardians and community members to ensure that our students have a safe and secure environment.”

Among the returning faces at MPS is teacher Jody Kuczynski who is enjoying her role in the JK / SK classroom in the morning and the JK – 2 classroom in the afternoon.
