SUSPECT ARRESTED DURING BREAK AND ENTER

MARATHON, ON –  Wednesday October 17, 2012, approximately 5:45 pm members of the Marathon Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were dispatched to a report of a possible suicidal male calling from a private camp in the area of Cedar Lake, situated approximately 30 kms southeast of Marathon ON. Officers were able to locate the male sleeping in a private residence. He was arrested for break and enter to the residence and transported to the Marathon OPP detachment.

Duane INEESE, 35 years of age, from Mobert First Nation Territory was charged with:

  • Break and Enter (x3),
  • Mischief to Property Under $5000
  • Theft of a Motor Vehicle

The accused is scheduled to appear in Marathon court on October 25, 2012 to answer to the matters.
A Scenes of Crime Officer attended the scene to collect any evidence from the camps that will assist in the investigation. If any member of the public has information that may assist in the investigation, they are asked to contact the Marathon OPP detachment at (807)229-0220.
