WAWA, ON – November 11, 2012 Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Superior East Wawa Detachment were advised the Wawa Baptist Church in Michipicoten River Village had been broken into sometime over the past week. Once inside the vandals did extensive damage to the inside of the church including breaking numerous dishes and setting off a fire extinguisher. A Scenes of Crime Officer was called the scene to collect evidence of the crime. At this time OPP continue to investigate and are requesting that anyone with any information is requested to call the OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers.
