MANITOUWADGE, ON – The Manitouwadge Best Start Hub held it’s annual Christmas Party this week and attendance was quite remarkable. Parents accompanied by their infants, toddlers and/or elementary school aged children enjoyed the opportunity, during what can be the most hectic time of year, to relax and socialize for a couple hours.

The Hub had promised there would be a special visitor at the event and, of course, did not disappoint as children were delighted to have the opportunity to sit an chat with Mrs. Clause and one of her helper elves the pair posing with children for photos and taking the care to sit and colour with older kids as well.

Children and adults were delighted at the spread of creative holiday deserts brought by Hub staff and and some parents. Included in the great buffet were fresh fruits and even some delicious sweet and sour meatballs ensuring there was something for everyone, even the pickiest eaters, to enjoy.

Seeing that little appetites were satisfied, Christmas wishes shared with the guests of honour, toddlers having expended some of their extra energy playing, and older children having met their need to socialize with friends, the Hub’s Program Coordinator Kristy Lachance seized opportunity to invite everyone to gather for some Christmas caroling accompanied by Pianist Shirley Desjardins who had even brought enough song books for everyone.  It was a perfect way to wind down a wonderful evening.
