MANITOUWADGE, ON – Friday, December 21st, Manitouwadge General Hospital representative, Executive Assistant Mélanie Richer welcomed Legionnaires Ron Sheppard and Jim Thomson, accompanied by Rousselle’s Valu-Mart Owner Robert Rousselle, at the hospital for their annual poinsettias delivery.

The men delivered more than a dozen fresh poinsettias to the Long-Term Care residents at Manitouwadge General Hospital.  In addition to those delivered to patients, the group also left poinsettias in the patients’ lobby (piano lounge) and other areas of the hospital.  Royal Canadian Legion Branch President Ron Sheppard explained that they continue with this tradition each year feeling it is important to remember ALL of the members of our community during the holiday season, a sentiment reiterated by Robert Rousselle who has been participating in this initiative for several years.

If you would like to follow the example of these ambassadors of holiday cheer, why not visit Manitouwadge General Hospital today at 4pm to join in some Christmas caroling at the piano lounge (patients’ lobby).  Regular caroling at the hospital continues this week as everyone is welcome again on Christmas morning at 11am. (See Northern Ontario Calendar here on OntarioNewsNorth.com for complete list of hospital caroling dates/times).
