FROM KIM & LESLIE RANSOM of the Marathon Cross Country Ski & Snowshoe Club:

This weekend is another busy one at the Marathon Cross Country Ski and Snowshoe club.

SATURDAY, FEB 23rd, 2013

Saturday is the last Jackrabbit day for the year. A big bonfire is promised come to the fire and cook up a hotdog over the flames. Yummy.

SUNDAY, FEB 24th, 2013:

Sunday is the distance challenge. It is a once a year time to see how tough you are. The idea is to ski or snowshoe as far as possible in one day on pre determined ski and snowshoe courses. If you ski 30km, 50km, 70km or 100km you get your name on the distance challenge plaque. All others have their names on the distance challenge record sheet that stays up for the rest of the season. It is the club fundraiser and we need a good crowd to support the club. Cost is a minimum of $30….. get lunch on us. Come out and give it your best.

Chalet is open at 8am and closes at 8pm. bonfire comes as part of the package!!!!
