INSIDE CROSSOVER
As the weather outside takes a turn for the better, and the NHL playoffs get into full swing, it is easy to overlook the movie scene when seeking out a distraction. This is, however, a very strong month for new releases so be sure not to miss out!
This week features a title with several Academy Awards nominations and wins to its name- Silver Linings Playbook. Starring Bradley Cooper, Academy Award winner Jennifer Lawrence and Robert De Niro, Silver Linings Playbook is a touching look at the lives of two individuals who form a bond through their troubles.
There are eight new movies in total this week with a brief synopsis of each below;

Silver Linings Playbook: starring Bradley Cooper and Robert De Niro – After a brief stint in a mental institution, a man moves back in with his parents with the hopes of reconciling with his ex-wife. Plans change when he meets Tiffany, a lady with problems of her own.

Dark Vengeance: starring Steven Seagal – A serial killer is on the loose. As the body count grows and fear spreads throughout the city, one man is determined to do whatever it takes to bring the killer to justice. (Action) (DVD)
Devil’s in the Details: starring Ray Liotta – A man’s life is changed forever when he finds himself unexpectedly caught up in a drug transaction by a ruthless Mexican cartel. (Action) (DVD) Also available to rent at 2 Doors Down in Manitouwadge!
The Details: starring Tobey McGuire and Elizabeth Banks – When a raccoon family begins digging up the backyard of a married couple, the simple pest problem turns into to a chain of events leading to tension, infidelity and eventually murder. Magic Journey to Africa: A young girl with a vivid imagination takes a magical trip to Africa. (Family) (DVD)
Not Fade Away: starring James Gandolfini – A group of young friends form a rock band with dreams of making it big. (Drama) (DVD)
Wuthering Heights: A poor boy is rescued from poverty and taken in by a family where he develops a relationship with his young foster sister. Based on a novel of the same name. (Drama) (DVD)
FOR THE GAMERS
Lego City Undercover – Players assume the identity of Chase McCain, an undercover detective armed with clever disguises. The mission is to put a stop to Rex Fury and end his crime wave in LEGO City. As players run, drive and even fly through the city, they’ll use a series of new police gadgets to help them on their mission. Available for WII U and Nintendo 3DS.
