TERRACE BAY, ON – Wednesday, March 6th the staff at St. Martin School planned and hosted a Math Olympics in the gym to celebrate World Math Day.

Upon entering into the gym each school family assembled together to create a Math Flag, which teams used to cheer their teammates on during their Olympic event and identify their team throughout the afternoons’ festivities. Each teacher prepared a station with various Math games, including activities that involved Number facts, Measurement using paper airplanes as well as water relays, Construction with Geometric solids, and organization of data (results) to determine team standings.

Congratulations to the two winning families:  Mrs. Brosseau’s family with Alexis, Hunter, Hannah, Logan, Rogan, Easton and Mrs. Maenpaa’s family with Breanne, William, Aries, Emma, Kade, Emercyn, and Carson! We look forward to continued participation of all families in these very valuable learning experiences and know that your children appreciate your involvement in their academic life.
