MANITOUWADGE, ON – April 4th, a Manitouwadge family experienced a nightmare that none of us ever wants to face – they lost their home and all of their belongings in a house fire (Click here for the full story).

Though Manitouwadge Public School is a small school, the students have proven once again, that it is definitely filled with big hearts, organizing a bake sale to raise money to help the family of four.

The Student Council organized and hosted a fantastic bake sale with an array of items which were as delicious as they were visually and olfactory appealing .  The tables, set up in the hallway at the entrance of the school, were overflowing with donations from parents and staff!  The bake sale raised an impressive total of $203.85.  Pictured above, MPS Student Council members stand by while President Donovon Lelievre presents Mr. & Mrs. Oakley with a Home Hardware gift card equivalent to funds raised – WELL DONE!

MPS staff and students thank all the parents and staff who donated towards this very worthwhile event!
