When you think of jobs that are stressful and important, 911 operators might go overlooked. Imagine being a 911 operator and receiving a call from a frantic young lady claiming that a man is trying to break into her house. Now imagine that your instructions could be the difference between life or death. This is the scenario faced by Halle Berry’s character in this week’s new release- The Call. There are nine new releases in total with a brief synopsis of each below;

The Call: starring Halle Berry and Abigail Breslin – A 911 operator receives a frantic call from a teenage girl who has been abducted. Phantom: starring Ed Harris and David Duchovny – A submarine captain on the brink of retirement is asked to partake in one final mission. Upside Down: starring Kirsten Dunst and Jim Sturgess – A young couple fall in love despite the fact that they live on twinned worlds with gravities that pull in opposite directions. Java Heat: starring Kellen Lutz and Mickey Rourke – A detective teams with an American posing as a graduate student to find the man behind a series of deadly terrorist bombings in Indonesia. (Action) (DVD)

Revenant: In Los Angeles, a fallen soldier who has joined the ranks of the living dead reunites with his best friend in order to rid the city of drug dealers and killers- and to collect the blood that they need to survive. (Comedy/Horror) (DVD)

Venus and Vegas: starring Eddie Kaye Thomas – When three Vegas buddies attempt the score of a lifetime, they must avoid their suspicious girlfriends- and the mobsters who want them dead. (Action/Comedy) (DVD)

Deadpool: Based on the Marvel character of the same name. A unique game which features the main character kidnapping a group of video game employees and forcing them to make a game about himself (yes- a game within a game). MARATHON – AROUND TOWN

Summerfest is right around the corner and as always Marathon will be bustling with activity! There is truly an event or activity for people of all ages. Crossover Video and Games will be partnering with Nancy Ryan of Marathon Theatre to bring you “Nintendo WII Gaming” on the big screen! Play your favorite WII games, with your favorite characters on the huge theatre screen!

This event should be a lot of fun and best of all- it’s totally FREE! Stop by the Marathon Theatre on Saturday, June 29^th from 1-3pm for some Nintendo WII gaming on the big screen! We hope to see you there!
