Terrace Bay Hires Business Development Intern

The Township of Terrace Bay, with funding from the Northern Ontario Heritage Fund Corporation, recently hired a Business Development Intern.  The position is a one year partnership between the Township, The McCausland Hospital, and the Aguasabon Chamber of Commerce.  The successful applicant was Christina Bayko from Thunder Bay who is a recent graduate from the English program at Lakehead University. Some of the projects she will be working on for the Township include: identifying and completing activities to support the business community, setting up training courses, helping with special events, and assisting with expanding the marketing of the Community.  Christina will be working with The McCausland Hospital to develop a fundraising campaign for new medical equipment to include items like a new x-ray machine.  She will also be working with the Chamber of Commerce to help the organization become more active and complete activities as identified by the business community.  CAO Carmelo Notarbartolo said “We are happy to have Christina on board and believe the impact she will have on the different project partners will be very positive.”  Christina began her position as Business Development Intern on June 3rd, 2013, and can be reached at bdi@terracebay.ca.
