HAILEYBURY, ON –   Members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Temiskaming detachment, under the direction of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB) is continuing the investigation that started on June 4, 2013 into the murder of Christopher PARSONS, 42 years of Haileybury.

As part of this ongoing investigation CIB has requested the assistance of the OPP Under Water Search and Rescue Unit (USRU) and the OPP Emergency Response Team (ERT).

The USRU is currently located in Haileybury at Lake Temiskaming conducting an evidence search and the ERT is currently conducting an evidence search at the Haileybury Landfill Site.

The OPP will provide further information as it becomes available.
