GREENSTONE, ON – June 13, 2013 at approximately 3:35 am the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Greenstone Detachment was on patrol in the area of Highway 11 and Long Lake #58 General Store. Greenstone OPP located a suspicious vehicle in the parking lot of the store.
A strong odor of marihuana was observed coming from inside the vehicle. Greenstone OPP located 166 grams of cannabis marihuana inside the vehicle. The driver Daniel MORALES a 23 year old male from Longeuil, Quebec and one of the passengers Claudia D’ADDERIO a 21 year old female of Verdun, Quebec were arrested and charged criminally for Possession of a Schedule II Substance – Over 30 Grams. MORALES was also charged with three counts of Breach of a Justice of the Peace Undertaking.
The two parties were held at the Greenstone Detachment pending a Show Cause hearing.
MORALES was remanded into custody.
D’ADDERIO was released on a Justice of the Peace Recognizance with a court date in Longlac for July 17, 2013.
