INSIDE REVIEW
Twilight is arguably one of the most successful film franchises of all time. With over 3 Billion dollars of worldwide box office dollars to its credit, it’s hard to dispute that there may not be another franchise to reach those gaudy numbers in quite some time. It was no surprise that Hollywood would turn to another book by Stephanie Meyer (author of Twilight), in hopes of replicating the Twilight success.
This week’s new release, “The Host” did not open to the same type of fanfare, but it does present fans of the Twilight genre with an opportunity to watch a similar type of movie that could ultimately become a franchise.
There are ten new releases in total this week. Please see below for a brief synopsis of each;

The Host: starring Saoirse Ronan – When an unseen enemy threatens mankind by taking over their bodies and erasing their memories, a young lady risks everything to protect the people she cares most about. Admission: starring Tina Fey and Paul Rudd – A University admissions officer risks her promotion in an attempt to help an alternative school kid (who might be the son she gave up for adoption years ago) get into her school. Spring Breakers: starring James Franco, Selena Gomez and Vanessa Hudgens – Four college girls land in jail after robbing a restaurant in order to fund their spring break vacation. Temptation: directed by Tyler Perry – A married woman’s temptation by a handsome billionaire leads to betrayal and recklessness which has the potential to forever alter the course of her life. (Drama) (DVD)
Paperboy: starring Matthew McConaughey, Nicole Kidman and Zac Efron – A reporter returns to his Florida hometown and teams up with his younger brother to investigate a case involving the possible wrongful conviction of a death row inmate. Allegiance: After his transfer request to stay stateside is approved, a lieutenant in the National Guard faces a dilemma as one of his soldiers threatens to go AWOL as their unit gears up for deployment to Iraq. (War) (DVD)
My Awkward Sexual Adventure: To win back his ex-girlfriend, a conservative accountant enlists the help of an exotic dancer to guide him on a quest for sexual experience. (Comedy) (DVD)
Power of Few: starring Christopher Walken and Christian Slater – The story unfolds over twenty minutes on one New Orleans afternoon, experienced through the lives of five unusual characters who are unknowingly connected to an extraordinary smuggling operation, religious conspiracy and urban crime. The “Dog Days of Summer” continue to be a slow time with respect to new game releases, as there are once again no new games to report this week. It remains an ideal time to get caught up on some of the bigger games that released throughout the spring such as; Remember Me, Fuse, The Last of Us, Animal Crossing New Leaf, Grid 2 and more!
