Schreiber OPP Remind Motorist Drinking & Driving ANY Vehicle Is Dangerous

E-BIKE DRIVER CHARGED WITH OVER 80

NIPIGON, ON – August 24, 2013 at approximately 11:45 p.m. members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Schreiber Detachment stopped an electric motorcycle “E-bike” after a Highway Traffic Act violation in the Township of Schreiber.

Upon speaking to the driver, officers determined that the driver had been drinking. The driver subsequently failed the roadside test. The driver was arrested and returned to the Schreiber OPP detachment for further investigation.

The 57 year old male driver, Morris Joseph Zaporzan, of Schreiber, Ontario has been charged with Operate a Motor Vehicle with Over 80 milligrams of Blood Alcohol content contrary to the Criminal Code.  The male is to appear in Schreiber court on October 10, 2013 to answer to the charge.
