CHARGES LAID IN TRAILER THEFTS – GREENSTONE

GREENSTONE, ON – September 16, 2013 at 12:25 am members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Greenstone Detachment were on patrol near the Long Lake # 58 General Store. Police observed five persons breaking into a Tractor Trailer Unit (TTU). Police approached the suspects and they fled on foot. One male was apprehended.

Jonah BOUCHARD a 23 year old male and resident of Greenstone was taken into custody. The accused was charged with:

  • one count of Break and Enter,
  • Possession of Break in Instruments
  • Obstruct Police.

The accused is being held for a Bail Hearing today.
On September 15, 2013 items were stolen from another TTU. One of the items specifically was eight boxes of Double Cheeseburgers. Police want to remind the public that purchasing or being in possession of stolen goods is a crime.

The OPP is seeking assistance in identifying the other members involved in this or other related occurrences.
